Mike Snodgrass

Mike Snodgrass - Director of Operations

I came from the manufacturing world where every day was a dog eat dog experience, where successes were only measured in dollars and cents. When I came here, I saw a different world. One where I can use my experiences to help train those with varying abilities to find that job that will help enrich their lives. Success here is measured in smiles and pride of accomplishing their goal of getting that job in the community. Everyday these individuals face challenges that I could never imagine. But every day when I greet them in the morning, they always come in with a smile on their face and an eagerness to do the best they can. It is a pure joy to come in everyday and be a part of their lives and be a part of their successes. Some of my hobbies are: Cheering and following the Packers and Badgers, movies, and bike riding.

I started working at a non-profit in Zion, Illinois in 2007. That was when my first interactions with people with disabilities began. My life was literally changed from that point on. Working with people of varying abilities is truly rewarding; my bad day can turn upside down with a smile and laugh from one of my clients. Helping a client find a job in the community; giving them a purpose in life, making them feel a sense of independence and self-worth; makes my heart happy. I am a mom of a 13 year old son. My son and I enjoy going to movies, watching television and playing with our cat.  I enjoy watching Green Bay Packer games as well as the Milwaukee Brewers (2019 World Series!). I also enjoy shocking my son with my sports knowledge! I was born and raised in Union Grove, WI. My first car was a 1987 blue Ford Tempo.  It was a standard transmission. It’s been 20 years since I drove a stick shift… wonder if I still could?
