LCS Wrote an Article on LinkedIn!
LCS has written its first LinkedIn article! This article is about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and how individuals with disabilities are often overlooked when it comes to training, education, and acceptance in the workplace. It also touches on the lack of employment opportunities given to individuals with disabilities and discusses how organizations would benefit from hiring an individual with a disability.

With the many strides organizations have made and continue to make in creating more diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplaces, it’s hard to believe they would forget to include disability in their DEI strategies. Unfortunately, exclusion and isolation are often familiar realities for individuals with disabilities throughout their lives and not just in the workplace. It usually begins at an early age when individuals often feel different at school because their peers may avoid or tease them or because adults may think they need to be treated differently or coddled. There’s also segregation from other students when placed in specific learning programs at school.
