Employment Specialist
Make a Difference as an Employment Specialist!
Are you passionate about empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve career success? Do you thrive on connecting people with meaningful employment opportunities? If so, we want YOU on our team!
What You’ll Do:
- Support individuals with disabilities in finding and maintaining employment
- Partner with employers to create inclusive workplaces
- Provide job coaching, resume assistance, and interview prep
- Advocate for workplace accommodations and career growth
- Provide a person-centered approach to assess strengths and barriers for employment success
- Maintain a positive rapport with area businesses and employees
- Participate in networking opportunities with area businesses to develop paid work experiences, job shadowing opportunities, and permanent employment for participants
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of Department of Vocational Rehabilitation regulations is preferred
- A two (2) year degree in the Human Services field is preferred
- A valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance is required
- A champion for inclusivity and accessibility
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A heart for making a real impact
