A group from LCS Connect was able to go on an educational tour of the Snap-on Lab at Gateway Technical College: Horizon Center for Transportation Technology. The CESP™ certification sets a standard of knowledge and distinguishes employment support professionals who have shown they have the skill and competence to perform the requirements of the job. Through LCS E-NOW! and Culver's Racine, Josh was able to participate in a job shadow to learn about the duties of a Culvers Crew Member. Josh cleaned windows, wiped tables, booths, and chairs, filling condiments, filling creamers, refilling ketchup cups, and keeping the front of the restaurant looking nice. LCS Explore participants were offered the opportunity to tour the CNH manufacturing plant which was facilitated by Pete Schultz. They learned about the history of CNH, how tractors have evolved since the 1800's, and an overview of the equipment CNH produces. While participating in the walking tour portion, they were able to observe CNH personnel put together large pieces of equipment such as transmissions, tractor cabs, and exhaust manifolds. ...
